  1. I just tried this. You have to submit a request that takes 15 days to process. Crazy how I have to submit a request for this $800 TV to not take advantage of my personal info. I’m so sick of this world man.

I have previously looked into this and can confirm current LG OLED TVs (on latest firmwares) will record your viewing habbits by taking a screenshot of your viewing every few milliseconds whether you opt in or not. I have complained to LG about this, so far they have ignored me. Thanks for highlighting this issue, they (LG) seem to ignore the law particular around Data Protection and GDPR in the UK.

  3. My "smart" TV has never been connected to the Internet. I find using a dedicated HTPC to watch all media is a far better experience than any of the TV apps would be anyway.
