You Know What Sucks: Smart TVs

In regards of technology these days, if you want to go one step forward, you have to take several steps back for whatever reason because people have gotten too comfortable with companies being anti-consumer. This even applies to televisions, the piece of tech needed to use game consoles, DVD players, streaming services, and so forth.

The biggest flaws with smart TVs have to be the intrusive ads, privacy concerns, and the abnormally small remotes that don’t have enough buttons. The very limited button scheme on the remote has enough room to have buttons for four different streaming platforms, but apparently not enough for a guide or input button? Back in my day we were complaining about remote controls having too many buttons, now there isn’t enough.

  1. Y'all's opinion is your opinion, I prefer Roku over Amazon and Google or onn. At least with Roku it's simple and easy to use. Sometimes simple is perfect and better. Y'all don't have to use Roku, I like simple and easy. I refuse to use Amazon Fire TV products and Walmarts onn streaming box I'll have to give it a try, I mean it looks a little better but the remote takes batteries and with Roku you have an option to buy a rechargable remote and that's why I prefer Roku cause they make rechargable remotes, and I have 2, the 1st Gen and the 2nd Gen, and I can use 1 while the other is charging so I have a backup remote. That's why Roku is better cause of the rechargeable remotes. At least with the rechargeable remote you don't have to worry about batteries if you have any replacement batteries with Roku how do you charge the remote through the Roku player I plug in the USB cord do the back of the Roku player and I plug in my remote and let it charge while I'm watching my shows on Roku.
