They replaced a great product for £35 with something that most people didn't want or need for £99.
If you're in Europe the Thomson devices are the equivalent to the Onn devices. Sadly not as cheap, but great replacements for the original Chromecast with Google TV sticks.
I think it's just too expensive, unless you're outside the US, the Onn 4K Pro is roughly half the price, and the 2025 box is even cheaper than that.
You make no sense. I have the AppleTV 4K, FTV 4K Max, and this devices is more reliable and much more stable and picture quality is never an issue.
Skip features like USB?? Um there’s USB C which most consumers now use. Only boomers still rely on USB-A.
Not sure what you on about – got TV streamer this week and its brilliant – beats firestick max hands down – fast – supports sideloading clean interface but each to there own – I do not read anywhere it has flopped
If it "flopped" it wouldn't still be on the market and wouldn't still be close to it's original price. It gets the job done people brought it to solve, by definition it's a success and not a flop. You might think it's overpriced but so do I believe the iPhone is, it doesn't mean it'd a flop.
Alright so…needed to say this about the Google TV Streamer 4K, this product for what its worth, is actually rated with Apple TV as one of the best streamers. You are right with the price in my mind, should be around $75-$85, but $99 is livable. Don't get me started with the Amazon Fire Sticks, which are only in this sector because of price. OS systems is and always has been shotty at best. It uses a pedestrian version of Android, and always runs out of space. But we all love the price ( I as well ) so we live with it. Nvidia is a different story, but that's more in line with gaming and streaming experience…not a cable cutter option really. It's more than that I was always told and read. But, the Shield is amazing, and yet pricey. Onn is actually good but doesn't offer the Live TV options that google does, which for a TV streamer option is pretty important. Then the Apple TV…which might be the best, is of course Apple. Works well, interface is good too….I mean it's Apple so its a good product. Google has always had this thing with missing the mark with cost effectiveness. From the Google Tablets to the cell phones, home docks, etc. They make pretty good products, but the prices just seem to be off. I had the new tablet with dock, thing was amazing, just to pricey for what I needed. But then again, Apple does it with their pricing model, and we all still purchase those iphones, macbooks, and ipads, no matter the cost. All in all, good video and breakdown, I just I think you were a bit harsh on the Google TV Streamer.
I have one satisfied with me 😊
