Man I'm more excited for this new Apple tv than the new Iphones🤣, I have the 2017 4K with the original touchpad remote( I'm actually one of the few people that likes that remote🤷🏻), however I think I'm ready for a new one even though mine is still working perfectly fine, the main update I would like to see is a speaker on the Siri remote for the find my feature.
Waiting for back to school deals to upgrade my iPhone (currently a few generations behind with my trusty old iPhone pro max 12)… This new Apple TV going on the list as well…😊
A metal body is a bit of a waste on an Apple TV I think. It’s a discreet little box that sits under the TV, and realistically can even be hidden out of sight entirely. Far more important things to focus on.
What it needs:
– Latest HDMI spec
– Expanded codec support + hardware decoders (eg AV1). I see lots of comments about audio passthrough too.
– Updated Bluetooth and especially WiFi
– Bit more grunt for UI performance
Still tho, the current model is still very very good.
Looking forward to a brand new AppleTV and an iPhone 17 Pro Max (or equivalent). Thanks!
I heard that they have a ton of m3 chips left over at apple so wouldn’t surprise me if they add that but stick a £200 price tag with it.

I’m gonna do what I always do. Wait until my apple product basically forces me to upgrade. I when from the iPhone 4s to iPhone 7, then to iPhone X, and now I’m on the IPhone 16.
