  1. Why pay more if the next generation will be cheaper? It might include the new modem that the iPhone 16e has. I was going to buy the actual Apple TV, but I might wait to see what comes in and compare.

  2. I don’t understand why Apple TV makes it difficult for audio support. If I leave the Apple TV on Dolby Atmos then any movie that I stream that isn’t atmos I get PCM passed to my avr. So I have to change the audio settings to Dolby 5.1 and back again for atmos. The much cheaper Firestick has an audio setting for “best available sound “ so it automatically switches from Dolby 5.1 to atmos and back again depending on the audio output from movies. Why is Apple TV unable to do this automatic switching? I am not a software engineer but it would seem to be possible if Amazon can do it. That’s my only complaint with Apple TV
