They are competing with themselves???
Roku
what's with the "hype" stuff ? π€· (it's a new YouTube thing, not a Google TV thing; sorry)
i will forever stick to roku as i get new tvs they will have it built in
I have always used Android (Samsung) phones and tablets. GoogleTV is just android on a streaming device. Uses the same apps as my tablet. Uses the same voice assistant as my phone / tablet, etc. My current device is a Google
Chromecast 4K. I will eventually upgrade to the GoogleTV streamer. I have a Roku SmartTV, but I use my Chromecast rather than the Roku interface.
Prime video added fox one as a channel subscription
I use AndriodTV/GoogleTV here, been using Nvidia ShieldTVs since 2015, convinced several friends to buy them, and bought several for family members.
I love that you can side-load Android apps for it. My biggest issue is that Google doesnβt even have AndroidTV versions of its ownapos, and Google hasnβt released a groundbreaking feature in a while or pushed developers to use some interesting features the OS does have, for example, picture-in-picture.
I use Roku. The players are cheap and I prefer their OS because I can get to my content fast without having to go through multiple recommendations to find the content I want to watch
All TV os is are evil. They are created to prevent you from searching for content.
