Google tv can be put in app only mode..perfect if you don't want all the clutter
I've had a couple of Roku Ultimate from the U.S. and love the format. They don't run standard android, so you can't put downloader on, but you can go to the website and load up unlisted channels through the website. There are also hidden menu's, but I can't remember if they are of any use. I have been using a smart tv for a year or so, but have kept the roku's for bedroom and kitchen. Another thing that you can do with a roku is make your own channel, you just have to be careful with copyright laws
