As someone looking to use HomePod as stereo speakers for TV – I have been holding off – I would hate it if they discontinued and went just with a HomePad. That would kind of derail those as stern speakers.
I have some questions regarding Apple TV, it would be a huge help if anyone can give a little time to answer these;
1- I have a secondary tv provider in my country, can apple tv also support it, like I want to stream using wifi and then when I want to, watch the tv provider's channel going completely offline ?
2- and also I have none Apple device in my home, but I have recently made an apple iD just in case. Will it work when it asks me to sign in the apple tv or the sign in will require an actual apple device or iD ?
I am just starting on my smart home set up and had $45 in rewards from an electronics store that I had to use by the end of May so I bought a HomePod mini. Sounds like it will work for me for now and I can get a HomePod or Apple TV later.

JUST WAIT….. but what about tariffs? the Price would possibly GO UP, and or MAYBE…. so How do we look to see HOW old OUR STUFF is ? I have a 4k Apple TV and DITCHED my H/K very BIG… Alexa enabled speaker that was Great except Now it's always cutting in and out….on a Bluetooth connection…. so I hope I can re download the HK app, maybe it needs an update…. OR I'll go to the HomePod so MINI2 is ON route?

Apple Apple Intelligence will not come in 2025. Maybe not even 2026.
I suspect Apple will bribe users with oled screens and wifi7 while telling them to download more ram when Apple Apple Intelligence ships something marginally useful.
