The black cat could be any number of films but the first to come to mind is Bell Book and Candle with Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak. The Ferris wheel I assumed was the London Eye based on its proximity to Big Ben. River boats are not often found in salt water harbors but Showboat, Death on the Nile, and Maverick come to mind. I wonder if the “Howdy” building is a reference to the Film Center Building on 9th Ave in NYC.
I feel the ferris wheel is from Coney Island – the Warriors reference.
The black cat looks like the cat from Coraline and the Ferris Wheel made me think of The Gremlins
