I think Roku should make a streaming player that includes a NTSC 3.0 tuner with DRM & DVR capabilities, because there are no NTSC 3.0 gateways yet, they could make the DVR portion available to other Roku players on the same network. In addition they could make a Roku player without the DVR for the rest of the TV's on your network. Or based on the new fight they could replace the NTSC 3.0 tuner with a 5G tuner.
wondering how "new "devices will affect the Roku tv I've had for about 12 yrs.
Loved the joke!! lol
i am interested in the red box Just kidding
as a greek citizen, i would like to have more apps functioning here!!! (as "roku channel").
Dish needs just to close down…forget about piretecy… they said the same about satellite TV….they ruined That… now next they want to ruin the Internet 😮
I don't invest in a new Roku device until apps stop functioning.
Looks like I'll be trashing Hulu this year.
Last year price: $79 + tax = $84.
August renewal: $99 + tax = $114.
$30 increase, & now it goes to Disney? Nah, baby, nah.
I mean, I used undocumented streaming for 10 years, got Roku early 2019, and quit the undocumented streaming for that. It was cleaner, more reliable, and much much easier to find things.
The ease-of-use alone justified paying for Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, & Discovery+. At that point, it cost $17/month (totalling $24 with the annualized Hulu sub).
Even added in NewsMax+ later when they put it behind a paywall, keeping under $30 per month total. Now we're running 4 Rokus.
But Hulu hasn't had anything I wanted to watch that I couldn't get elsewhere in over 8 months, and now they announce they're jacking the price by $30 & I have to have a Disney account to boot? Those boys ain't right in the head, you know what I mean?
I'd rather have a new Nvidia Shield Pro
