Many of Apple’s operating systems will be receiving design changes this year, according to the latest word from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gurman previously reported that iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 will have new designs, with added translucency for a more glass-like appearance. In his Power On newsletter this week, he said that the design changes will extend to tvOS 19 for the Apple TV and watchOS 12 for the Apple Watch, but he did not provide any specific details.

How about some real innovation on Apple TV?
Start with Ultra-High Bitrate Streaming for Apple Originals—give us near Blu-ray quality that truly takes advantage of today’s 4K and 8K displays.
And while you’re at it, bring back the AirPort Extreme. A redesigned, high-performance version could fit perfectly into the Apple ecosystem as a smart networking hub. Imagine if it could cache software updates, manage bandwidth, and deliver optimized content directly to your Apple devices.
It’s time for Apple to push boundaries again. Let’s see some bold, forward-thinking moves—not just refinement.
Apple should reimagine the AirPort Extreme as a smart AI-powered hub—delivering ultra-high bitrate streaming, secure device updates, and intelligent bandwidth management. With local intelligence, mesh failover, smart home control, and seamless device sync, it would redefine home networking as the brain of the Apple ecosystem.
It could enable faster iCloud syncing, private local backups, on-device Siri responses, and smarter HomeKit automations—all while protecting privacy through Apple Silicon-level security. More than a router, it would be the invisible infrastructure behind a faster, safer, and more intelligent Apple experience. Let Go!!!
The version number will change to 26 on all oses.

Shit i just bought 2022 apple tv
MAJOR compatibility issues with soundbars and TVs with the current model. Tech support confirms there are issues and no fixes and none planned. It's just the way it is. How's that for building brand loyalty? So. . . are they going to be focusing on making sure this version doesn't consistently fail unless it's paired with another Apple Home Pod. I won't be replacing it any time soon. TVs have enough Apps on them now that this type of issue becomes a game changer for driving or depressing sales. Based on the number of complaints I've seen online, there will be a lot of hesitation.
I just want to see higher quality lip syncing. I’m rocking the first gen Apple TV 4K and I’m not sure if it’s a processor issue or that they use bad codecs. I have gigabit Ethernet and the lip syncing Audio with movies feel like it’s slightly off.
Not sure if it’s a frame rate issue, codec issue, or if the processor just can’t handle 4K content very well, or if Sonos soundbars naturally cause lip syncing problems 🙁
