Yeah, that's a big "catch" and with the price, I don't really need the extra ports but the SD card is really smart!
If like the box only has 1 usb port (like the thompson one you recommended) is it possible to add a cheapy usb hub for more ports?

Doesn't beat the Onn 4K Pro and i'm ok with that. Not worth the $35 extra for 3 extra ports which is all you get compared to the Onn 4K Pro. $35 extra, is not worth the extra ports. If the price was perhaps $10 extra or something, then its something to consider. For the full $85 Acer is charging, you could get an Onn 4K Pro AND an Onn 4K Plus, giving you connectivity to 2 TVs. Also I wouldn't consider this 7 ports due to the fact that the USB-C for power is not a fully functional port and you have to keep it powered in order to use it, so really this is a 6 port box.
