Until we know the ramification of google side loading, you should stay clear of endorsing android products
What I think all device should have are
1. HDMI,
2. Power(s) ( USB A & C)
3. Ethernet
4. HDMI Pass through (like the Fire cube)
5. DATA (USB A & C)
6. OPTICAL AUDIO.
Additionally all devices should have 4GB RAM prefer 8-16
The internal storage should be 16 – 64 GB.
I've just purchased the new Thompson streaming box, with £20 off at Amazon. An excellent streaming box for the price. 👍👍
Why not make it 4gb of ram with the 32 gb of storage and all these ports ?….

Was a big Acer fan for many years and bought several of their laptops and one tablet. I don't really understand why they've brought out the box. The Ram is unremarkable and the ports seem excessive for a streaming device. I think, for me, the word "bland" describes it.
RAM is poor in 2025 and the storage is average at best I would only use 3 of the ports and prefer internal storage and at the price there better options
I have one set top box which is not Netflix certified is there any way to use Netflix on it even if it's in 480p it will be okay but it's not working
ethernet speed?
Watching video now on this new box. Hopefully it’s certified. If not, premium apps might be downgraded from 4K to 720. Who knows.
