I've been using the NVIDIA SHIELD since 2019 for streaming PPV, movies, and TV series. I don't use it to game.

Streaming for me. I mentioned previously that this replaced my firestick because of Amazon's incessant fiddling. Really superb streamer. Using Projectivy for a superb clean and advert free interface. I love it and tips like yours are always welcome and good to know Nvidia are continuing to update the Shield. Love the hair too!
Have been using my 2017 ShieldTV for streaming and playing local files via Kodi hassle free. It recently stopped playing any audio files thru Kodi, and after trying everything I could to resolve it decided it was time to find it's replacement. After scouring various forums, it's seemed the newest Fire Cube might be it. When it works, it's actually pretty good. But the constant daily app lockups (frozen video or no sound, requiring a reboot) proved to me that I can't rely on it for our family entertainment. So I'm sending it back, and contemplating just getting another STV, except with my luck , a new one gets announced just as I take delivery on it.
My background process limit doesn't stay at at most 3 it reverts to standard limit any ideas?
