I can see the benefit if you're in the Apple ecosystem, but if not I far prefer Roku or Android TV.
Apple TV is great and since I hardwire I get about 900down. It’s really fast and it’s 1 generation older than yours. I don’t use PIP so don’t need it. Love it!
Great video and your video just showed up in my feed. I am on my 4th or 5th Apple TV box. I had the original Mac mini sized Apple TV box that had Component Video, Analog Audio and the Tousling Optical Audio for outputs. After that I upgraded to the first generation Apple TV HD with 64 GB of storage and may have owned a third generation Apple TV HD with the same 64 GB of storage. I had a first generation Apple TV 4K with 64 GB of storage and now I am on the third generation Apple TV 4K with 128 GB of storage with Ethernet. One thing I like about the Apple TV 4K is that all HD content from Netflix (my case WWE Monday Night RAW) and HD movies (that haven;t got upgraded to 4K yet), gets upscaled to 4K when outputting to my Denon AVR and finally to my 4K UHD TV. One feature I wish there was on the Apple TV 4K is the ability to take screenshots like we can do on the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Love my Apple TV that the 4K and two HomePods makes the best viewing experience when watching movies and no ads mean I’m happy, if Apple ever put ads on it I’m gone
Been using Apple TV since 2007, I don't upgrade until there's a significant update. I have tried NVIDIA Shield, Roku, Samsung, Fire TV and even a few Xiaomi Boxes. Nothing beats the Apple TV. The ease of use alone is worth every penny. The only issue I have is that the remote battery is not replaceable. Hence why I bought two today. My units are 8 years old and a new remote is $60, might as well buy the whole thing (64GB) for $120 and double my storage capacity.

I have Apple TVs on all of my television. All of them are hardwired connected. Best tv companion ever created.
I have been running Apple TV enabled TV's on all my TV's, none are the 4k model. It would be nice to see any differences between the 4k and the non 4k model. Note i have 5 of these so quite an investment to upgrade.
