When my TV remote stopped working, I could’ve just replaced the battery. Instead, I designed and built my own universal smart remote — complete with 3D printed buttons, a custom PCB, and full Home Assistant integration. Was it a massive overreaction? Absolutely. But now it controls my whole smart home.

Well done, sir.
This Video is already a few months old, but I figured this might help the next time.
If you want to have a Feeling for something befor printing it, you can make a quick model with play doogh and cardboard, it takes less than 10min and saved me hours of waiting for new prints. I literally use old cardboard boxes for this.
So started watching this and was like, thats neat and kinda cool. Moment you mentioned the automations with home assitant my brain lit up. Definitely gonna have to save this for later 😅
Was also curious to look into how much extra effort it would take to do a dock with megnets and pogo pins or something so its always got a home and always charged.
I dread the day my harmony stops working.
You know, my home theatre is powered by a harmony right now! Super happy about it.
Will this be back in stock anytime soon?
At this point… just use your phone:))
Might be dumb
Can we add charging pad on remote or pogo pin mechanism rather than type c
That's just Hassel free charging I guess
