What I see is that watching a YouTube video on my tablet gets me a 15 second ad, if I try to watch that video ON MY TV, then I get 45 hour long ads every two minutes, drives me crazy, so, I just watch on tablet. Much easier to navigate as well. But, over all ,yeah, you tube , for me, is way more engaging than Hallmark Christmas movies in July!
I looked at their new layout and totally PANNED it as junk! Terrible!
My wife and I are both retired and we watch content very differently. My wife watches content on YouTube, but it's mostly stand-up comedy, cute dog and kid videos, and that sort of thing. We come together on action crime drama and some sitcoms from ABC NBC CBS and fox. We record those using our Comcast DVR and it's nice to have the content all in one place. I watch And subscribe to about 50 YouTube channels including yours. However just internet and TV no phone is costing us $240 a month and we still subscribe to Hulu and Netflix. I don't see any of the alternative content providers such as Amazon or Roku offering anything similar in terms of convenience and familiarity. That's what keeps us from cutting the cord
