This device is why I am buying an Apple TV this year. If Google doesn't care about their hardware why should I?
The google tv streamer is so underpowered. Not worth the cost at all. Check elsewhere for a streamer imo.
The Walmart Onn 4K Plus is more powerful, and cheaper here in the U.S. at $30.
I do like the programmable button, something not available on my Fire Stick Max Pro by default.
Personally I prefer this to the firestick, to me it's worth the extra money but it's probably not for most people.
I was considering one of these. But the fact they removed video calling with Google meet I'm not interested now. It would have been great to set up and call older relatives abroad (like when we had Skype on most TVs) not interested in casting, always fails and disconnects.
DOES NOT include the NEEDED HDMI cable.
My chrome ultra with an Ethernet plug and no remote is doing great. Ive not seen it in years as it sits on the back of my tv.
I hope we will be able to get Xbox Gamepass on it. Too bad they no longer have Google Stadia.
I hate how this and the onn 4k pro dont play content in what it was made for like the Chromecast did. On the chromecast the menu was is stereo sound and it switched to whatever surround sound format was needed for the content but on these new boxes, everything is in either stereo or dolby surround which sucks.
