  1. i switched to google tv when i bought my pixel 8. i wish the google tv was a bit better, it still lags but i do like how it work with my pixel and chromebook. i love the dongle versions better ngl

  2. Since atleast 2021, You can use your phone as a remote on Google TV boxes and TV's, multiple ways. you can do it via the Google Home or Google TV app (both available on iOS.) If you using an Android phone with the Google TV app, you actually get a control centre button as well to quick launch to the remote. Can choose via d-pad or swiping.

  5. By leaving out identical features in Google TV your research into Google TV's features is lacking or intentionally biased towards Apple. 1. Google TV is available in TVs without the hardware shown unlike Apple 2. The Google TV app acts as a remote but unlike Apple is available on iPhones and Android.
