a categorized comparison might have been better, tech specs and side by sides, stuff like that
the apple tv segment felt a little short and not too in depth (though I do own one myself so I was looking for it specifically)
my tv has google tv on it but I don't have it hooked up to wifi, just the Apple TV
I don't even trust Roku with my favorite color considering how much I hear about them wanting to find new ways to show you ads and sell your data (which is why I bought the Apple TV in the first place, I just want to watch stuff without being bombarded by ads)
Those ads actually help they push trending shows that match your taste better than you realize. AI smart TVs know what you’ll vibe with before you do, saving you from endless scrolling on Netflix or Prime.
Are ads presented differently in America? I only ask because I use the a fire tv cube here in Canada and the only ads I ever see are banners for like a product or tv show/movie. Not intrusive by any means I just select the app I want and boom ads gone. Most of the home screen is just content to watch.
Apple TV 4k does not support Dolby True HD or DTSX. This is a deal breaker for any serious home theater enthusiasts!

Question for you–I see conflicting info about upscaling. If you use a streaming device (I currently use a Roku 4K stick), is that device doing the upscaling, or is the TV? Before I get a new TV, I really want to understand this.
Apple TV4k is the absolute best.
I'm using a Roku Ultra for my Projector (AWOL 3500 Pro) through an Onkyo Receiver. Only interested in the very best picture, for streaming movies and live TV (mainly sports). Would Apple TV be an improvement? Thank You
