I had two Fire Sticks one broke and I replaced it with a Roku stick. I don't have that update that you have as of 8.19.25 however I do have fire stick 4K first generation OS 6.7. 1.1(NS6711/5866) and that setting was on thanks I turned it off. I stopped side loading I have so much content on Roku, Samsung TV and fire stick in the living room it's overwhelming and I'm a senior who loves technology. Whatever it is that I want to see I just wait and always stay on a promotion with cable TV thanks again good information👏🏽💯🙏🏽

Well with Amazon's new fire TV cube the fourth generation will have the new operating system call Veda the older fire TV cube into in 3rd generation in the old fire sticks will not get the new operating system you're pretty much all set
I hate Amazon so much for this, they have no reason to be this annoying
